经文-诗篇 91：1-2，9-16
91 住在至高者隐密处的，必住在全能者的荫下。
2 我要论到耶和华说：“他是我的避难所，是我的山寨，是我的神，是我所倚靠的。”
9 耶和华是我的避难所，你已将至高者当你的居所，
10 祸患必不临到你，灾害也不挨近你的帐篷。
11 因他要为你吩咐他的使者，在你行的一切道路上保护你。
12 他们要用手托着你，免得你的脚碰在石头上。
13 你要踹在狮子和虺蛇的身上，践踏少壮狮子和大蛇。
14 神说：“因为他专心爱我，我就要搭救他；因为他知道我的名，我要把他安置在高处。
15 他若求告我，我就应允他；他在急难中，我要与他同在。我要搭救他，使他尊贵。
16 我要使他足享长寿，将我的救恩显明给他。”
经文反思
诗篇 91：1-2、9-16 是关于信靠、避难所和上帝坚定保护的美好四旬期反思。在四旬期，当我们有意识地谦卑和面对自己的软弱时，这段经文向我们保证，上帝是我们真正的庇护所。住在至高者的庇护所"的呼召是邀请我们加深信仰，安息在祂的同在中，而不是依靠自己的力量。

祷告
全能的上帝，我们的避难所和山寨，我们将我们的信任寄托在你身上。正如《诗篇》第 91 篇
所言，住在你庇护所的人，在你的翅膀下得到安全。在这个四旬期，请坚固我们的信仰，提醒我们任何恐惧和考验都不能将我们与你的爱隔绝。你是我们的保护者，是我们的拯救者，是我们无处不在的帮助。愿我们在你救赎的应许中安息，在你常在的保证中前行。在我们迈向复活节的希望时，保守我们坚定的心。奉耶稣之名，我们祈祷。阿门。

12 March The Wednesday in the First Week of Lent

Scripture: Psalm 91:1-2, 9-16
1 He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will sayto the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.”
9 Because you have made the Lord your dwelling place— the Most High, who is my refuge—
10 no evil shall be allowed to befall you, no plague come near your tent.
11 For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways.
12 On their hands they will bear you up, lest you strike your foot against a stone.
13 You will tread on the lion and the adder;
the young lion and the serpent you will trample underfoot.
14 “Because he holds fast to me in love, I will deliver him; I will protect him, because he knows my name.
15 When he calls to me, I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble;
I will rescue him and honour him.
16 With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation.”
Reflections on the Scripture
Psalm 91:1-2, 9-16 is a beautiful Lenten reflection on trust, refuge, and God’s unwavering protection. During Lent, as we intentionally embrace humility and confront our weaknesses, this passage reassures us that God is our true shelter. The call to “dwell in the shelter of the Most High” is an invitation to deepen our faith, resting in His presence rather than relying on our own strength.
In a season that challenges us to let go of worldly securities, this psalm reminds us that our ultimate security is found in God alone. He is our refuge, our fortress, and our deliverer, shielding us even in our most vulnerable moments. The promise of His faithfulness is not just for protection but also for guidance, rescue, and salvation.
Lent is a time to reflect on whether we truly hold fast to God in love, as the psalmist declares. Do we seek His refuge in times of trial? Do we trust His promises? As we journey through this sacred season, may we surrender our fears and uncertainties to God, trusting in His abiding presence and unfailing protection. He is always near, ready to rescue and sustain us in love.
Prayer
Almighty God, our refuge and fortress, in you we place our trust. As Psalm 91 declares, those who dwell in your shelter find safety under your wings. In this season of Lent, strengthen our faith and remind us that no fear or trial can separate us from your love. You are our protector, our deliverer, our ever-present help. May we rest in your promise of salvation and walk in the assurance of your abiding presence. Keep our hearts steadfast as we journey toward the hope of Easter. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

As you meditate on Psalm 91, allowing its words to deepen your trust in God’s unfailing protection and care. Lent is a season of surrender—an opportunity to acknowledge your weaknesses and rely fully on His strength to deliver you from spiritual struggles. As you rest in His promises, seek ways to extend His love by serving those in need, becoming a reflection of His grace. Faith is not only about receiving God’s protection but also about sharing His goodness. Will you trust in His sustaining power and step out in faith to bring hope and encouragement to others?
